What we do

Construction from scratch

Rigour and innovation. To do well and meet deadlines.

What distinguishes a construction company that, aside from building client homes, also builds its own reputation? Respect for the project, respect for the client, respect for deadlines.

At Caminho do Liz we look at Architecture and Engineering as allied components of success. Both are decisive to obtain a final result that dignifies the space, gives it contours, light, ambiance, enjoyment, functionality and accomplished layout.

Architecture Project

A project is a response to a functional layout.

In the PRELIMINARY LAYOUT phase, Project Developer items are collected in order to define the project objectives, functional needs and necessary spaces, financial constraints, implementation deadlines and other elements considered relevant;

This is followed by the TOPOGRAPHIC SURVEY; this results in a technical document based on the topographic measurements conducted on site and representing the existing physical situation. This document is prepared by a surveyor and can be provided by our company.

The BASE LAYOUT is the document that results from particularisation of the Preliminary Layout and it can present alternative solutions that prove to be more effective or more adjusted to local conditions; the Base Layout, after being approved by the Project Developer, is used as a base document for the development of the following phases.

PRELIMINARY STUDY involves the production of written and designed pieces in sufficient numbers to convey the idea developed. It can include freehand drawings, digitally produced designs, by CAD or 3D format, and even working models.

Upon approval of the Preliminary Study by the Project Developer, elements that will be submitted to licensing entities are then formalised.

It is in the PRE-PROJECT phase and in the form of a Licensing Project in which the Developer submits the project to be considered by the municipal authorities and different bodies for licensing the project. Includes the production of all written and drawn elements for approval by Architecture. It is also necessary in the Pre-Project phase to present elements relating to accessibility of the work.

From a total of 12 SPECIALTY DESIGNS, those that apply to the specific case are developed, to be submitted to the City Council for consideration soon after approval of the Architectural Design.

These are specialty engineering designs:

- Stability, excavation and peripheral containment design

- Electrical power supply and distribution design

- Gas installation design

- Water and sewage network design for buildings

- Stormwater design

- Exterior arrangements design

- Telephone and telecommunications installation design

- Thermal behaviour study

- Electromechanical installation design

- Fire safety design in buildings

- Acoustic design

- Mechanical Air-Conditioning Installation Design

Finally, PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION is fundamental to guarantee the Project Quality and comprises, together with the Tender Specifications, the process that includes all information for the project, indicating sufficient implementation details for budgeting
